ANNUAL REPORT

All school are following the same CBSE syllabai recommended by C.B.S.E. All schools have same qualified teachers, of nearly same qualification, all the schools have minimum requisite infrastructure also but some schools are categorized as the best and some as average. Why is it so? Why S.D.V. has attained unparalltel growth within a short span of time? Why has it touched the new height in the horizon of education? Let's know-'how'?
Because of unique infrastructure, distinct psychological approach, vision, concepts and philosophy of our able principal, untiring work culture of staff members, endurance & stamina of children and above all the guidelines of our chairperson and manager along with the blessing of our respected Sajjanji we can boast to have a unique system of development of children.

VIDYALAYA
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Once again our class X children won the laurels to the school by producing cent percent result with high 90's in different subjects. Their improvement rate is highly encouraging. In addition to it, the results of other classes are also the added feather in the cap.
Our endeavor is not only to prepare the children to show their excellence in academics but also to come up with flying colour in all other fields. A brief summary of their activities is as follows :

CULTURAL NIGHTS

The old students of S.D.V. gave a warm welcome to the new students by celebrating Fresher's Night 'Comrade', By this the new children were made feel that now they are also the members of this S.D.V. cell. Each of the new comers introduced themselves on the stage and older ones presented a very nice cultural program. The smile on the faces of new comers clearly showed their happiness to receive such a warm welcome.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was our beloved Sajjanji, mentor of our school. One of the aims of our school is to inculcate all the spiritual and moral values and qualities of leadership. So keeping this in mind school organized house wise cultural nights_ of all the four houses. The prefects, of all the four houses, under the guidance of their respective housemasters and other teachers associated with the houses, received full support from the volunteers and successfully staged four grand cultural nights during the year 2004-05. Santosh House, Sachchai House, Dharam House, Dhairya House.

FOUNDER'S DAY

The Founder's Day of Satyug Darshan Vidyalaya was celebrated on occasion of Birth anniversary of our Honourable Sajjanji on 18th of Oct. 2004. The Chief Guest on the occasion was the mentor of S.D.V. himself. The program was presided over by our Chairperson Smt. Rashma Gandhiji.
The students were given prizes for their outstanding performances in the field of Academics, cultural activities and co- curricular activities. Scholarships worth of RS.1.2 lacs were awarded to the students of different classes for their achievements in academics. Trophies and medals were given to the children who had been victorious in different fields. A unique program was also performed in which the special attraction was Kawwali written by our most honorable Principal Sir.

COMPETITIONS


Good handwriting is also considered to be an effective tool for good marks. Keeping this in mind school organized English and Hindi calligraphy competitions so children got motivated as well as art of artistic writing also got developed within the students. The competitions were organized class wise as well as house wise and three best entries were chosen from each class by a team of judges.As it is earlier described that we organized four cultural nights of four houses in which there was a mass participation of the children. But to develop the self confidence among the students we organized Solo Song Competition in Hindi as well as in English and a Solo Dance competition too. This was also for both languages i.e. Hindi and English.

SPORTS


Our concern about the physical development of the children is not hidden' from anyone. A healthy soul requires a healthy body which in turn makes a wholesome personality. To achieve this goal outdoor and indoor games are made available to the children. Special coachings of different games were being provided by qualified teachers which motivated the children to participate willingly in different sports and games. In December 2004, a grand sports meet was organized in which nearly 600 children participated in 24 different events of athletic, games and sports. Long jump. High Jump. Shot put, Volleyball. Basket Ball, Cricket, Skating, Football, Javelin throw, different races and Hurdle race etc. Jalebi race and three leg race of small kids had thrilled the hearts of the spectators with joy. Many old records were broken and new set to be broken the next year. The outstanding achievers were Gitender Yadav, Vikas, Chauhan. Sumit Chaudhary. Dushyant, Shubhi Saraf, Rahul Chaudhary, Ruchi, Khurana, Surabhi Sehgal. Sachchai House won the Cock Trophy for receiving the maximum number of points. Second position was secured by Santosh House. The opening and closing ceremony was presided over by our respected Chairperson and beloved Sajjanji was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The medals, trophies and certificates were given to the students by Shri S.R. Katariya Ji, Sh. Pradeep Khurana Ji, Shri Kailash Dhingra Ji.

For keeping every body fit and fine,we arranged two Yoga Camps.

 

DEBATE


In today's world communication skill is must for everyone and for communication skill there should be an insight of logical reasoning. So we are preparing our children for it by organizing debates in English as well as in Hindi. Debate in English was on the topic "Moral values have been decreasing in the present scenerio" and in Hindi, the topic was Two participants were selected from each houses. One participant spoke for the motion and other spoke against the motion. Children were also invited for the debates openly i.e. without any boundation of house-participation.

DANCE AND SONG

As it is earlier described that we organized four cultural nights of four houses in which there was a mass participation of the children. DRAWING AND PAINTING


To inculcate the creativity among the children we had an on the spot painting and drawing competition and Awantika Painting competition which were class wise. One more crucial thing to be described here is that there was a Class Decoration competition also in which each and every child participated in one or the other way. The children were divided into six categories according to the age and / or class of students. Such competitions inculcate the qualities ofteam spirit and co-ordination.

SCIENCE AND IT EXHIBITIONS

Satyugians also don't lag behind in the field of computers and I.T. An IT exhibition was organized in which there was mass participation of children. Most of the students participated in it. Late Col. Satsangi was the Chief Guest on this occasion. SDV wants its children to be all rounders. So along with all these above mentioned activities a grand Science Exhibition was also organized in which the students participated very enthusiastically. Students prepared their working models and made the examination successful. Our students participated in C.B.S.E. State Level Science Exhibition and were selected for National Level Science Exhibition which was a matter of great pride for us.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMS

Various orientation programs and workshops for teachers and staff were organized by eminent personalities for the empowerment and enlightment. Dr. O.P. Chhabra, Sh. D.V. Sharma, Padam Shree R.S. Lugani and late Col. Satsangi are few of them. They guided the teachers how to make them enlighten and give value education to our futuristic citizens. Sajjanji also motivated the children by guiding them under Eminent Person Contact Program. Children were given the full liberty to ask the questions on various fields under open interactive sessions. 'This session was enjoyed a lot by teachers and children as they could get the solution of their mysteries.

TOURS EXCURSIONS AND WORKSHOPS

Educational trips were organized to different places like Delhi, Mathura and Ghaziabad for giving them first hand experiences. Our children also participated in Psychological workshop on Expression 2005 organized by VIMHANS under the supervision of Project Director Dr. Jitender Nagpal.

SPECIAL DAY CELEBRATIONS


Special programs were conducted during school assemblies on special days like World Environment Day, World Haritage Day, Earth Day, UNO Day, Population Day, Women's Day, Army Day, Air Force day, International Literacy Day, International Science Day and Consumer's Right Day etc.

FESTIVALS


Whole of the school i.e. boarding as well as day-boarding celebrated Shri Krishan Janamashtmi. A variety of programs was presented in praise of Lord Krishna. Speeches in Hindi and English threw light on the life and deeds of Chakradhari Shri Krishna...

On 5th of Sept. the Teachers' Day was celebrated in the school in a very different manner and flavour, which can not be seen in any other school. The students made the teachers-feel absolutely comfortable and took the charge of the teaching-learning process themselves. Even the morning assembly was organized by the studentteachers. A card making competition was also held on this day. Children prepared their hand made cards. This competition was class wise.

To conclude Satyug Darshan Vidyalaya has been trying its level best to prepare the great citizens in India. The right kind of environment is provided here to develop all the eight varieties of intelligences namely linguistic, logical mathematical spatial, musical, interpersonal itrapersonal, bodily kinesthetic and naturalistic, is very useful in gearing up the child to learn the skill how the learn.

We resolve that no stone will be left unturned to make them enlightened and empowered.
